WIP Minions & so

Who is not amazed by Minions? They are the adorable little 'somethings' from Despicable me! Well, if you haven't watched the movie already, I highly recommend you. It is a simple story about three little orphan girls and an evil, but inside lovely ugly thief, who is a strickt boss to this funny creatures.

A few months ago I pinned this lovely crochet project for the Minions to my Pinterest board and when my Husband saw it, he immediately started asking me to make him one. Last week I was browsing on Etsy and found these patterns for not one, but two Minions! What a great deal! So I purchased it.
Although I planned that I would make it on my holiday, I just couldn't wait and started crocheting on the weekend. I have almost done with the one-eye cutie, just need to sew the parts together. The pattern was easy to understand and easy to follow with lot of step-to-step pictures. Perfectly written!

I am working on two little clutches, I add them to my shop soon. And a pattern for the crocheted parts is coming soon !!

I am having an other running hat project too. (Sorry, I don't have pictures from that.) The red one, which I showed you last week is already done, just waiting to wtrite the pattern down.

I would like to ask fellow crocheters to test me, so if you are interested to test a simple beret pattern, please contact with me! (skills: chain, sc, dc, hdc)

Wish you happy crocheting and knitting!

Simple beret crochet pattern

Do you know my Little Red Riding Hood Beret? I am releasing the new version of the original pattern. It is simplified, but a little bit tighter than the sample one was. The first sample of this hat has been made with 3.5 mm hook and DK weight yarn, the number of stitches were divisible by 16. This version is simplier. I used 4.00 mm (G hook) and worsted weight yarn for a fitted looking, the number of stitches is divisible by 12.

Here is the newly made simplier version of this beret. This time in creamy peach color:

Difficulty level: easy – for beginners too (ch, dc, basic decreasing and increasing technics) Finished measurements: fits to an average women’s head
•worsted weight yarn (approx. one smaller ball)
•crochet hook G/ 4.00 mm
•stitch marker (if you feel more comfortable with it)
•tapestry needle (to weave the ends)

Abbreviations: ch  chain dc double crochet dc2tog  decreasing two stitches with double crochet sl st

Crochet purse for the Summer

Yippie, I have made my very first summer purse! Okay, actually it is not a new project,  a couple weeks ago you could already see some WIP pictures of it, but on the past weeks I was obsessed with sewing. That's why I deferred publication.
So time to show you one of my favourite crochet object. It is finally something for myself!! After several baby hats and simple amirgurumis for my family, I made a bag for myself... just for fun... You probably know what does it mean: when your family and friends discover 'your talent',  you don't have time to create just for yourself.

You could have already seen these squares and here where I promised, that I would make a bag from it!  So I kept my promise. It wasn't easy to turn the granny into a bag (or bag-like) shape. After several tryings with flowers and different shapes I found the simple chain loops the easiest way to turn the square into a bag.
It is not a big purse, I am sure that I won't take it for shopping, but…

Crochet Frog Applique {pattern}

A few months ago my cousin sent me a picture from a pair of baby shoes with frog applique, that she wanted for Lili. I made a quick google search for a pattern, but didn't find any. So I tried to figure out how to crochet the applique. I must confess, that the shoes are still not ready, because the first try turned out too small for Lili's feet. And now as she is learning to walk, she needs for professional shoes. So I will use these frogs later for another project. If you have any tip what should I make with them, share with me!
