I am still knitting & crocheting

Somehow I am still not in spring-mood. But for me winter doesn't mean, that I am in hibernated mood in this cold season.

Are you preparing to the spring or do you craft winter stuffs?

I have just finished a beret. A red crochet one. This is my third beret in this season. I think, I am getting to be obsessed with hats. Currently, I am knitting the fourth one and just can't stop designing new ones.

This is just a quick shot of the  Little Red Riding Hood Hat .

I will come back with the crochet pattern and with some bright pictures, as soon as I will have time to do that.
Until that let me to show you what am I working on.

I was surfing on the Ravelry yesterday. I really want to knit a headband. I have seen a lot of inspiring one in your blogs, girls. So I really need one.
These are my favourites from Ravelry.

  1. Lovely! I'm in love with hats too and should start making some... I always try to be ahead of the game and sew/knit/crochet for the coming season, but I usually get behind. Right now I'm still making winter stuff... Thanks for your lovely comments and for "pinning"!

  2. I am still making winter crafts. However I did just start on a spring scarf so maybe I am moving on. I LOVE your hat. And the headbands are great. Can't wait to see how yours turns out.:) Thanks so much for sharing at Link It Up Thursday.

  3. WOW you look like a doll wearing it.. :) I wish I could crochet and knit like you, I find it very hard..

    1. :) Oh no, this is girl is not me. The picture is from pinterest (click to it). The designer is from they have so lovely patterns.
My headband is still in progress, but I am knitting a simple one. I wish I would be enough confident to wear something like this feather headband :) It is so beautiful.

Simple beret crochet pattern

Do you know my Little Red Riding Hood Beret? I am releasing the new version of the original pattern. It is simplified, but a little bit tighter than the sample one was. The first sample of this hat has been made with 3.5 mm hook and DK weight yarn, the number of stitches were divisible by 16. This version is simplier. I used 4.00 mm (G hook) and worsted weight yarn for a fitted looking, the number of stitches is divisible by 12.

Here is the newly made simplier version of this beret. This time in creamy peach color:

Difficulty level: easy – for beginners too (ch, dc, basic decreasing and increasing technics) Finished measurements: fits to an average women’s head
•worsted weight yarn (approx. one smaller ball)
•crochet hook G/ 4.00 mm
•stitch marker (if you feel more comfortable with it)
•tapestry needle (to weave the ends)

Abbreviations: ch  chain dc double crochet dc2tog  decreasing two stitches with double crochet sl st

Crochet purse for the Summer

Yippie, I have made my very first summer purse! Okay, actually it is not a new project,  a couple weeks ago you could already see some WIP pictures of it, but on the past weeks I was obsessed with sewing. That's why I deferred publication.
So time to show you one of my favourite crochet object. It is finally something for myself!! After several baby hats and simple amirgurumis for my family, I made a bag for myself... just for fun... You probably know what does it mean: when your family and friends discover 'your talent',  you don't have time to create just for yourself.

You could have already seen these squares and here where I promised, that I would make a bag from it!  So I kept my promise. It wasn't easy to turn the granny into a bag (or bag-like) shape. After several tryings with flowers and different shapes I found the simple chain loops the easiest way to turn the square into a bag.
It is not a big purse, I am sure that I won't take it for shopping, but…

Crochet Frog Applique {pattern}

A few months ago my cousin sent me a picture from a pair of baby shoes with frog applique, that she wanted for Lili. I made a quick google search for a pattern, but didn't find any. So I tried to figure out how to crochet the applique. I must confess, that the shoes are still not ready, because the first try turned out too small for Lili's feet. And now as she is learning to walk, she needs for professional shoes. So I will use these frogs later for another project. If you have any tip what should I make with them, share with me!
